Some Franklin TN Neighborhoods
Recently someone relocating to Franklin TN logged in to my website to search for homes requesting pedestrian friendly neighborhoods with 4 bedroom houses approximately 10 years or newer. Below are some of the neighborhoods I thought might work.
Cheswicke Farms is located between Downtown Franklin and the Galleria Mall. Great walking neighborhood and just down the street from Franklin’s Shops at the Factory. Also very easy access to I-65. Has pool and clubhouse and in an active community.
Fieldstone Farms is a large and broad ranging community. It can be totally self sufficient with a Publix Supermarket, Walgreens Pharmacy, several parks, playgrounds and pools. There is also a Kinder Care and Hunter’s Bend Elementary School within the neighborhood. This is the neighborhood where I raised my family. It is about a mile walk to downtown Franklin.
Founder’s Pointe has like styled houses about a half mile from downtown Franklin. It has sidewalks and street lights making it a good walking neighborhood. It is located across the street from a convenient shopping strip with a coffee house and Franklin’s Boyd Mill Park. The park is home to youth activities most of the year.
Sullivan Farms is not as convenient a walk to downtown Franklin although in may be not much more than a mile away. It is however a very walker-friendly neighborhood and has all the amenities for which you are looking. It is not far from a great shopping area with stores like Target and restaurants and coffee houses.
McKays Mill is also a complete neighborhood which includes shops, restaurants and supermarket. It also has one of the best pools and clubhouse facilities. Many of its main street type homes have back alley garage entry. It is a bit away from downtown but close to the mall and the interstate.
Forrest Crossings is located adjacent to the Forrest Crossing Golf Course which is one of Franklin’s public golf course. It has pool and tennis courts and play areas. To get to shops or grocery stores you do have to drive although it is a short drive.
